I hope everyone is having a very merry holiday season so far. I can say I got my Christmas wish of photographing a beautiful holiday newborn!

What a wonderful session with a fantastic family! Little Miss Macy was such a peanut weighing only a little over 6 pounds. She was the sweetest thing ever! I had difficulty getting work done because all I wanted to do is snuggle up with her. Mom had Christmas music playing in the background and we definitely had fun coming up with different ideas to go with the holiday theme. During our session together, little Macy fell so sound asleep during the second half that I think we tried on every hand band I brought (and I bring A LOT to choose from!) She was amazing… and did I mention adorable!

It’s sad to say, this is the last fall session post of 2011. WInter has set in and the holidays are quickly approaching. All the leaves have fallen off the trees and the birds are now on their way to a warmer climate. I can’t blame them… I always loved the winter and especially the snow, but as I get older, I’m realizing the beach doesn’t sound so bad right now. Oh well, I’ll just have to make due with a warm cup of hot chocolate by the fire… I guess that’s not so bad after all!

This final fall session was just a delight since it’s of some of the cutest boys around… my nephews!

Friday I had the opportunity to meet the lovely B Family. We met at a local farm to capture images for the upcoming holiday.

I had a lot of fun playing with Big brother L and showing him all the cool things we could find at the farm. Since it was a bit chilly out, we also took a few photos inside and Mr. L was so good at taking care of his new little brother who was only 3 months old. We had a great time together!

I am very proud to introduce the sassy and very cute Miss S! What a fantastic and fun session this was. She was my little model and we were “bestest” friends by the end of this evening. The most challenging part of the session was getting her to stop laughing. I love sessions like that!

I was not planning on taking any more signature sessions for the year, but then I got a call to do a session for Miss S and I decided to take one last session for December… and am I sure glad I did! The personality of this little 4 year old was so bright and bubbly and I think she could have a big career in acting someday. She was very easy to get a long with and I enjoyed every minute with her. I can’t wait to share these images with you so you too can see how big her personality is. So adorable…

Well it’s official, December is here and so the countdown begins for the upcoming ever crazy holidays! With so much going on this month, I have opted for several mini session bookings to share. This family I am sharing today is near and dear to my heart. This little man, Mr CB has to be one of the funniest 3 year olds I know! Ever since he could walk and talk he has always been a little man inside a little boys body. He such a cool kid and I love him sooooooo much!

As we draw closer to Thanksgiving, I have so much to be thankful for this year. I have great friends, a wonderful family and a career that I absolutely love. This is the first time I can honestly say I love my job! That’s a great feeling to know that when I leave my children to go to work, I don’t have to dread it or think of excuses why I want to call out sick 🙂 I get to not only do something I love, but also have the chance to take part in documenting the lives of other families in the process.

On Sunday, I spent my afternoon with the M family. They were all smiles and we had a wonderful time together. The “Z-Man” had me laughing the entire time. You can tell by the photos that he was having a good old time too! Although little Miss N took some time to warm up, she was all smiles in the end as well. Sometimes I joke with families that I want to hire a court jester to dance around and make people laugh… well I didn’t have a court jester, but we did have grandma!!! So what did we do? We put her to work!  I think the highlight of our afternoon was getting grandma to dance behind me to get her grandchildren’s attention. If that didn’t do it, I don’t know what would have. Luckily, it worked and I was able to capture the most genuine smiles and laughter. Thank you M family for a great afternoon!

I guess I saved the best for last of the weekend.  This session makes me fell all worm and cozy. I think it’s the colors of late fall that make me want to just snuggle up and enjoy time with my family and friends. For this session, the W family did just that. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to not only photograph the W family, but also their extended family as well. They were a joy to capture on camera and I especially loved running around with the kids in the field during our time together.

Another fabulous fall session! I have to say I was a bit nervous about the weather for the month of November after having snow in October, but we’ve actually had wonderful weather so far. I wonder what that means for winter… blizzards or a mild winter? We’ll just have to wait and see (I’m all about the blizzards, but only 1 to cover everything a bright white. Then it gets old and dirty… no one likes dirty snow!) I guess since all the stores are decked out for the holidays, its already got me thinking about winter! What I need to do is enjoy the warmer fall days we’ve been having and remember how wonderful they were when we’re all stuck inside for the winter.

Although it was warm for this session, the wind made it feel much cooler. Strong winds are never good for hair during a photo session but this family didn’t mind. I have to tell you what fun it was to pick out images for this blog post. These two families are such a good looking bunch that I had a hard time choosing. Two handsome brothers married two gorgeous wives and of course ended up with 2 adorable one year olds… what an easy family to share!

It’s always so much fun to photograph the families and children of old friends. I was secretly looking forward to this session because with the charismatic little Miss K, I knew I was going to get some amazing images. She would make an amazing model, she’s just beautiful and her personality always shines through in the photos. She’s always such a joy to photograph and this time proved no different.  For this session, we were even able to get her parents in on the fun.

This was a very relaxed session, taking a hike in the woods, having an acoustic jam session in the field and of course, some singing and dancing to go along. It was so relaxed I almost forgot I was working. That’s my favorite kind of session!
